28 weeks!!

We have finally hit the 3rd trimester!! 12ish more weeks to go until baby boy's due date!!!
I can't get over how fast this pregnancy is going by!! I feel like it was just a few weeks ago that we were finding out baby #2 was on the way!!

We haven't decided on a name yet, but I have my top 3 picked out, but we can't seem to agree on a name yet.
I have another ultrasound friday to check my placenta location as this one might (and i use might lightly as my midwife is pretty confident that I will be able to have a natural birth) via c-section. Im just super excited to see him again!!

So how is my baby bump growing??

Im getting pretty big!!!

He's big enough now to kick my ribs and occasionally make breathing uncomfortable!!

28 weeks

Your baby is close to an eggplant, just over 1kg. (Length: 37.6cm, head to heel.)

We are getting close!! With Christmas a month away he will be here before we know it!!

So I have been terrible at blogging this pregnancy!! I think my last update I was 21weeks or so...yikes!!
A lot has been happening around here since my last post and of course being super busy at work and at home has made me WAY too exhausted to sit down and write about our lives and baby boy!!

So, since my last post, we had Thanksgiving, Ethan's 3rd birthday and Halloween!!

21 Weeks Pregnant!!

OVER HALF WAY DONE!!!

I can't believe we are already 21 weeks into this pregnancy, it is flying by fast!! Baby boy is kicking up a storm and wiggles a lot daily!! Its great to feel!! Unfortunately they aren't strong enough to feel on the outside just yet, unless you push in a bit and he's in the right spot to kick you back.

Reason being is that my placenta is located at the front of my uterus this time around which acts as a cushion. 

Here is my 21 week baby bump!!

To me it doesn't look much bigger than 3 weeks ago, mind you I was wearing a much more flowy shirt so that made my back look further out.

And how is baby growing??

Your carrot-sized cutie is now roughly 10 1/2 inches from head to heel and weighs about 12 ounces

Baby boy is growing well, super active and healthy, we couldn't ask for anything more than that!!

20 Week Ultrasound

Wednesday last week was our long awaited ultrasound to see how baby was growing, and of course find out if we were having a little boy or a little girl. After having our appointment cancelled the week previous I was more than anxious to get into my appointment and see our little gummy bear.

This was going to be Nicholas's first time "seeing" baby in action, as unfortunately his work had kept him from being at our 2 previous ones.
Baby was SUPER active and actually gave the ultrasound tech a super hard time getting all the measurements and images she needed. Somersaults  and this hilarious position of having their chin tucked into their chest and completely bent over legs extended seemed to be the fav position, not sure how baby found that comfy but hey, you never know right?

Heartbeat was good and strong at about 153bpm and here are some pictures of our little gummy!!

What is baby's gender you ask??

THAT'S RIGHT!!! We are having another baby boy!!!

I swore up and down baby was a girl, after a really rough first trimester of being super sick I was for sure convinced that this one was a girl as Ethan's pregnancy was no where near this hard!!

And we didn't see any bits during the ultrasound (except at the end where Nicholas swore he saw something, but I was sure he was wrong)

But we are over the moon excited that we are having another boy, Ethan will have a baby brother to play with and share his toys with!! 

Cannot wait!!

18 Weeks Pregnant

Today marks week #18 for this pregnancy!! I can't believe how fast it is going by and that I am almost half way!!
Things have been going really well and my belly is growing like crazy! Compared to when I was pregnant with Ethan I am WAY bigger this time around!!

All right here we go, here is my 18 week baby bump!! 

I think I was around 24-26weeks with Ethan when I was this big!!

2nd time around shows a lot quicker, plus I am in the constant wanting to eat part of pregnancy!! Not sure how much weight I have gained as I haven't stepped on a scale since about week 11.

So I decided I wanted to use the fruit and veggie reference again with this pregnancy because I find it tangible to how big baby actually is at this time. 

18 weeks

Your baby is nearly as big as a bell pepper and weighs 190g. (Length: 14.2cm, head to bottom.)

Baby is moving up a storm these days but kicks aren't strong enough to be felt on the outside yet but we are getting close!!

Next weeks Wednesday we have our ultrasound booked (Sept 24 @ 945 am) super excited to see our little gummy bear again and to find out if we are having a boy or a girl!!

We Are Back!!

Well its been a long time coming but I've decided its time for a come back!
Lots has happened since my last post which was over a year and a half ago!!
Ethan is almost 3 years old now!! That's right you read that correctly he is almost 3!!

 AND....we are currently expecting baby #2!!!
Its been a very long and emotional journey to get here but we have made it and are overly excited to meet our new little member of our family in February.

Here is baby #2 at 12 weeks 1 day!! Strong healthy heart beat of 164bpm!!

I'm currently 17 weeks along now, we will have our ultrasound on Sept 24 to find out if our little one is a boy or a girl, and of course to make sure s/he is growing and healthy!!
